ORLANDO — A Broward County woman is suing an Orlando theme part, alleging negligence in a go-kart crash.

Rima McCall filed a complaint March 26 in Orange County Circuit Court against Fun Spot of Florida Inc., doing business as Fun Spot America Theme Parks, alleging failure to protect guests from harm due to safety hazards.

According to the complaint, on April 16, 2016, McCall was riding a go-kart at Fun Spot when her kart was violently struck in the rear by another go-kart. McCall says she sustained injured in and about her body and extremities, suffered pain, physical, and emotional handicap, disability, mental anguish and aggravation of a previous existing condition.

The plaintiff alleges Fun Spot America Theme Parks failed to instruct operators of the go-karts on proper use and operation, failed to investigate the driving capabilities of individuals operating the go-karts, and allowed anyone to operate the go-karts without any training or instructions.

McCall seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, plus interest and court costs. She is represented by attorney Fred L. Fulmer of Law Offices of Fred Land Fulmer PA in Fort Lauderdale.
