Resident blames Dunedin mobile home park owner for injuries

CLEARWATER — A resident is suing a Dunedin mobile home park owner, alleging negligence caused injuries to the plaintiff.

Eric Hefernan filed a complaint March 26 in the Pinellas Circuit Court against Lake Haven Mobile Home Owners Inc. alleging failure to maintain its premises in a safe condition.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 1, 2018, Hefernan fell on the defendant's property due to an uneven and defective sidewalk. The suit says Hefernan sustained bodily injury and resulting pain and suffering, aggravation of a preexisting condition, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, inconvenience, and incurred medical expenses. 

The plaintiff alleges Lake Haven Mobile Home Owners failed to warn him of a known dangerous condition, failed to correct the defective sidewalk and failed to maintain the premises in a safe condition.

Hefernan seeks trial by jury,compensatory damages of more than $15,000, court costs, attorney fees, post-judgment interest and all other relief the court deems appropriate. He is represented by attorneys Frank J. Currie and Teresa P. Williams, of Clearwater.
