Orlando property owners allege contractor breached contract

Contract 07

ORLANDO — Two Orlando property owners are suing a contractor, alleging breach of contract.

Karla and Velesco Miller filed a complaint on March 19, in the Orange Circuit Court against Beazer Homes Corporation, alleging violation of the Florida Building Code.

According to the complaint, the Millers have suffered damages as a result of the carelessness of Beazer Homes' improper design and construction of their home at 12033 Deer Path Way, Orlando. The suit says this resulted in numerous defects and deficiencies in the various systems and components of the home, including violations of local and state building codes.

The plaintiffs allege Beazer Homes reduced the value of the Millers' home, requiring significant repairs and renovations to correct the defects and violations.

The Milers seek trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000 plus interest, costs and all other relief the court deems just. They are represented by attorney Matthew L. Wilson of Burnett Wilson Reeder in Tampa, Florida.
