ORLANDO — An Orange County woman is suing an Orlando restaurant for allegedly allowing a dangerous condition to remain on the premises.
Yanitte Laurore filed a complaint March 14 in Orange County Circuit Court against Bonefish Grill LLC, alleging the restaurant owed a non-delegable duty to guests to maintain and keep its premises in a reasonably safe condition.
According to the complaint, on March 25, 2015, Laurore was lawfully at Bonefish Grill, 7830 W. Sand Lake Road, Orlando, when she slipped and fell on a liquid substance on the floor. As a result, Laurore says she was seriously and severely injured, causing pain, discomfort and medical expenses.
The plaintiff alleges Bonefish Grill failed to detect or remove the liquid substance on the floor and failed to provide adequate warnings in writing and/or reasonable notice of the unsafe, dangerous and hazardous condition.
Laurore seeks trial by jury, judgment in excess of $15,000 exclusive of attorney fees, interest and court costs. She is represented by attorney Christopher S. Reed of Law Offies of Michael B. Brehne PA in Altamonte Springs.
