Customer blames Wal-Mart for injuries

Slip01

ORLANDO — A customer is suing Wal-Mart, alleging negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff.

Sergio Kendric Garcia filed a complaint March 14 in Orange County Circuit Court against Wal-Mart Stores East LP, alleging failure to maintain its premises in a safe condition.

According to the complaint, on July 2, 2017, while Garcia was visiting the Wal-Mart at 4520 S. Semoran Blvd., Orlando, he slipped and fell on a liquid substance. The suit says Garcia sustained bodily injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, scarring, mental anguish, medical expenses, loss of earnings and aggravation of pre-existing condition.

The plaintiff alleges Wal-Mart Stores East failed to adequately maintain the premises/floor, and failed to inspect or adequately warn Garcia of the danger of the premises/floor.

Garcia seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000, plus interest and court costs. He is represented by attorney Alicia Bandoli of Morgan & Morgan PA in Orlando.
