FORT LAUDERDALE — A Broward County woman resident is suing a motorist, alleging his negligence caused a crash.
Tara Hall filed a complaint March 9 in Broward Circuit Court against Padmakumar Kamalammagopala Pillai, alleging failure to exercise standard care and skill in the operation of a vehicle.
According to the complaint, on Sept. 30, 2017, Hall was driving her 2009 Toyota Corolla on Stirling and 106th Ave., Hollywood, Florida. The suit Hall was run into by a 2008 Toyota negligently driven by Pillai. Hall says she sustained bodily injury, resulting in pain and suffering, disfigurement, loss of earnings and aggravation of a pre-existing condition. .
The plaintiff alleges Pillai failed to adequately maintain and operate a motor vehicle so as not to cause harm, and failed to be on proper lookout for other vehicles.
Hall seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000, plus court costs and all other relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorney Alana R. Weatherstone of Gordon & Doner PA in Davie.
