ORLANDO — An Orange County woman is suing a Winter Garden restaurant owner, alleging negligence led to her suffering injuries.
Beverly Plummer filed a complaint March 1 in Orange County Circuit Court against Bonefish Grill Inc., alleging failure to provide a safe environment for business invitees.
According to the complaint, on Nov. 18, 2016, Plummer was dining at Bonefish Grill in Winter Garden with her husband, when she slipped and fell on an oily/greasy substance on the floor as they walked to their assigned table.
As a result of the defendant's negligence, the suit says, Plummer sustained injuries in and about her body and extremities, resulting in pain and suffering, disability, loss of earnings, and aggravation of a previous existing condition.
The plaintiff alleges Bonefish Grill failed to properly inspect and maintain the premises, failed to warn Plummer of the dangerous flooring, failed to train employees to inspect for dangerous conditions, and failed to render aid to the plaintiff after her fall.
Plummer seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000, plus interest and costs. She is represented by attorney Varun Ramnarine of Morgan & Morgan PA in Orlando.
