ORLANDO — A former employee is suing a cable company, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Anthony Diaz filed a complaint Feb. 16 in Orange County Circuit Court against Central Florida Cable Communications Inc., alleging failure to provide employees with proper wages, benefits and incentives.

According to the complaint, Diaz worked for Central Florida Cable June 2014 to June 2017. Diaz alleges he has suffered the loss of earnings for working additional hours in excess of 40 per week but not being compensated at the statutory rate of one and a half their regular rate of pay as required by FLSA.

Diaz seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000 for unpaid overtime wages and liquidated damages, plus costs of suit, attorney fees and all other relief the court deems proper. He is represented by attorney C. Ryan Morgan of Morgan & Morgan PA in Orlando.
