ORLANDO — Two Orlando homeowners are suing an Orange County construction company, alleging breach of contract.

Ingrid and Todd Acquafredda filed a complaint Feb. 8 in Orange County Circuit Court against Beazer Homes, alleging the construction company violated the Florida Building Codes Act.

According to the complaint, the Acquafreddas' home at 1826 Plantation Oak Drive. Orlando, has suffered from construction defects and deficiencies caused by the negligent construction of the defendant. The suit says the poor construction has substantially reduced the value of the home and/or required significant repairs and renovations to correct the defects and violations.

The plaintiffs allege Beazer Homes failed to comply with all applicable local, state, and national building codes and regulations, and failed to properly inspect, construct and deliver the home.

The Acquafreddas seek trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, plus interest, court costs and all other relief the court deems just. They are represented by attorney Matthew L. Wilson of Burnett Wilson Reeder in Tampa.
