Slip02

ORLANDO — A visitor is suing owners of an Orlando apartment complex, alleging negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff.

LaShawn Allicock filed a complaint Feb. 8 in Orange County Circuit Court against Omninet Village LP, doing business as Village Park Apartments, alleging the property owner failed to maintain its premises in a safe condition.

According to the complaint, on Feb. 13, 2014, Allicock was visiting the Village Park Apartments, 4412 Martins Way, Orlando. The suit says Allicock tripped and fell on a defective sidewalk and curb. Allicock says he sustained permanent injuries, disability, mental anguish and incurred medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Village Park Apartments failed to warn him of the dangerous condition of the sidewalk and curb, and failed to maintain the common areas including the sidewalks and curbs.

Allicock seeks trial by jury and damages in excess of $15,000. He is represented by attorney David R. Heil of Winter Park.
