ORLANDO — An Apopka homeowner is suing subcontractors, alleging negligence.

Gary Brown Sr. filed a complaint Feb. 2 in Orange County Circuit Court against Red's Stucco Brick & Stone Inc., GB Painting Inc., et al., alleging failure to follow applicable safety guidelines and regulations.

According to the complaint, Brown has suffered monetary injury, including costs of substantial repair of his defective property at 779 Daisy Hill Court, Apopka. The suit says Brown has lost use and enjoyment of the property, permanent impairment of market value, the costs of retaining consultants to investigate and provide remedial recommendations, and other foreseeable damages, as a result of the defendants' negligence in the design and construction of plaintiff's home.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to comply with all applicable local, state, and national building codes and regulations, and failed to properly conduct subcontracting operations.

Brown seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, plus interest, court costs and all further relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorney Christopher M. Palermo of Law Office of Christopher Palermo PA in Lutz.
