CLEARWATER — A personal representative is accusing a medical facility of negligence in providing proper care to a resident.

The Estate of Doris H. Pascazi, by and through Sharon Ann Outwater, attorney-in-fact, filed a complaint on Jan. 29, in the 6th Judicial Circuit of Florida-Pinellas County against Osprey Health Care Center, LLC, Enrique de la Piedra and Randy Lee Sloan alleging that they failed to provide the necessary care and services to all patients as required in their professional duty.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 20, 2015, Pascazi was admitted to the defendants' facility where she remained until she was discharged on Jan. 28, 2017. Outwater claims that during Pascazi's stay at the facility, she suffered multiple falls that ultimately caused or contributed to her physical, emotional and monetary injuries and damages.

The plaintiff holds Osprey Health Care Center, LLC; Enrique de la Piedra and Randy Lee Sloan responsible because they allegedly failed to ensure the provision of a safe environment to all residents and failed to provide the full value of care and services as promised and as required to all of their patients.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for consequential damages, attomeys’ fees and costs, pre-judgment interest, punitive damages and such other relief this Court deems appropriate. She is represented by Kathleen Clark Knight of Wilkes & McHugh, PA in St. Petersburg.
