Motorist blames another driver for crash

CLEARWATER — A vehicle driver is suing another a motorist, alleging negligent driving caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Barbara Kieta filed a complaint Jan. 22 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against James Edward Greathouse. alleging he caused his motor vehicle to collide with another car.

According to the complaint, on June 6, 2017, Kieta was driving her motor vehicle at or near the intersection of 9th Avenue North and 58th Street North in St. Petersburg, The suit says Greathouse negligently drover his car that caused a collision with Kieta's vehicle. 

As a result, Kieta says she sustained bodily injuries, plus the inconvenience and expense of hospitalization. The plaintiff alleges Greathouse failed to operate and maintain his motor vehicle in a proper manner, causing injuries to another motorist.

Kieta seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, plus costs of action. She is represented by attorneys Jessica Shahady and  Nicole E. Davis of The Ruth Law Team in St. Petersburg.
