Customer blames Bravo for injuries

Slip02

ORLANDO — A customer is suing a Bravo store in Orlando, alleging negligence caused her to fall and suffer injuries.

Maria Vazquez filed a complaint Jan. 15 in Orange County Circuit Court against Bravo Companies Inc., doing business as Bravo,  alleging failure to use due care to maintain its premises in a safe condition.

According to the complaint, on July 30, 2014, Vazquez was at the Bravo store, 999 N. Semoran Blvd., Orlando. The suit says Vazquez slipped and fell due to oil that had been negligently allowed to remain on the floor of the store. As a result, Vazquez says, she suffered bodily injury, mental and/or psychological disorders, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish medical expenses and loss of earnings.

The plaintiff alleges Bravo failed to properly maintain a safe walkway, failed to properly supervise maintenance personnel, and failed to warn Vazquez of an existing dangerous condition.

Vazquez seeks trial by jury, damages that exceed $15,000, exclusive of court costs and attorney fees, plus all further relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorney Axel J. Dumas of The Pendas Law Firm in Orlando.
