CLEARWATER — A customer is suing a Largo restaurant owner, alleging negligence led to injuries to the plaintiff.

Najah Bassous filed a complaint Jan. 10 in Pinellas Circuit Court against Jetro Restaurant Depot LLC, doing business as  Restaurant Depot LLC, alleging the restaurant owner failed to follow applicable safety guidelines and regulations.

According to the complaint, on March 16, 2016, Bassous was on the premises of Restaurant Depot, 8750 Enterprise Blvd., Largo. The suit says a restaurant employee negligently and carelessly struck Bassous with a garbage cart. As a result, Bassous says, he was injured in and about his body and extremities, suffered mental anguish, physical handicap, loss of earnings, aggravation of pre-existing conditions, and will continue to suffer the losses and impairments in the future.

The plaintiff alleges Restaurant Depot failed to properly warn Bassous of the dangerous condition and failed to have a reasonably safe mode of operation in the maintenance of its premises.

Bassous seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000, plus interest and court costs. He is represented by attorney Justin W. Pimenta of Abrahamson & Uiterwyk in Tampa.
