Motorist accused of negligence in St. Petersburg crash

Car accident 26

CLEARWATER — A motorist is suing another driver, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries and negligence.

Kasha Thomas filed a complaint on Jan. 9 in the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court against Edna L. Marshall alleging that she failed to properly control her vehicle causing it to collide with the plaintiff's car.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 23, 2016 she sustained physical injuries when the vehicle she was operating collided with another car at Ninth Street and Central Avenue in St. Petersburg.

The plaintiff holds Marshall responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep a proper look out and operated her vehicle in a negligent manner.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for damages. She is represented by Paul Shalhoub of Schwed, Adams, Sobel & McGinley, P.A. in Palm Beach Gardens.
