ORANGE — A former security guard at the Orlando International Airport is suing her Colorado-based employer, alleging discrimination and retaliation.

Sebine Coleman filed a complaint on Jan. 5 in the Orange County Circuit Court against HSS Security Inc., alleging that the company terminated her employment as retaliation after she reported that she had been sexually harassed on the job.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff claims that on Oct. 9, 2017 while working her supervisor touched her upper thigh and made inappropriate remarks to her. Later that day she reported the incident and a few weeks later she was terminated.

The plaintiff holds HSS Security responsible because the defendant allegedly allowed its employee to sexually harass the plaintiff and when she terminated for reporting the incident

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks judgment against the defendant for damages, actual damages, back pay, punitive damages, court costs, interest and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Travis R. Hollifield of Holifield Legal Centre in Winter Park.
