Marriott Grand Vista owners accused of negligence

Slip02

ORLANDO — A husband and wife are suing Marriott Ownership Resorts Inc., Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation and Shawn McFarland, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries and negligence.

Mary M. Becker and Rudolph Becker filed a complaint on Jan. 5 in the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court against the defendants alleging that they failed to keep their premises reasonably safe.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on July 28, 2015 Mary Becker sustained physical injuries when she fell due to the uneven paver outside the lobby of the Marriott Grand Vista.

The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to warn Mary Becker about the uneven paver in front of the main lobby of their property.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury; and seek judgment against the defendant for compensatory damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. They are represented by Chelsea N. Bogdan of Wooten Kimbrough, P.A. in Orlando.
