Roofing company alleges construction business owes more than $15,000

ORLANDO — A Florida roofing company is suing an Orange County construction business, alleging breach of contract.

Over the Top Roofers, LLC filed a complaint Jan. 5 in Orange County Circuit Court against Lockridge Construction Corporation and John Burt, alleging failure to pay the plaintiff for its work.

According to the complaint, on May 25, 2016, Burt signed a contract with Over the Top Roofers for work on a residence in Ococe. The suit says Over the Top was damaged financially from not being paid for the work it has performed. The plaintiff alleges Lockridge Construction and Burt breached their contractual agreement with the plaintiff by failing to remit payment of $15,927.50 for all work completed.

Over the Top Roofers seeks damages that exceed $15,000, plus interest and all further relief the court grants. It is are represented by attorney Chad A. Walters of Walters McCartney PLLC in Winter Park.
