ORLANDO — A former employee is suing Epoch Development LLC, a Florida corporation, alleging violation of the Florida Civil Rights Act (FCRA).

Robert Henderson filed a complaint on Jan. 3 in the Orange Circuit Court against Epoch Development LLC, a/k/a Timescape Resorts LLC and Timescape Marketing LLC, alleging that the company breached its duty of good faith and fair dealing.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges he has suffered damages and will continue to suffer damages after being abruptly terminated on Oct. 12, 2016, due to the unlawful discriminatory practices of the defendant of refusing to accommodate his medical condition.

The plaintiff holds Epoch Development responsible because the defendant allegedly denied plaintiff continued employment because of his handicap condition and forced plaintiff to retain the services of an attorney.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks judgment to be entered against the defendant for all damages recoverable under the FCRA, including punitive damages, as well as costs, expenses, attorney fees, and any other lawful relief the court deems to be just. He is represented by Chad Levy of Law Offices of Levy & Levy PA in Sunrise.
