Plastic surgeon accuses female defendant of defamation

ORLANDO — An Orange County plastic surgeon is suing an unknown female, alleging defamation and tortious interference.

Dr. John M. Choi filed a complaint .Jan.10 in Orange County against Jane Doe, alleging the defendant published and posted false and derogatory statements regarding Choi's medical care under various pseudonyms.

According to the complaint, in July 2017 and November 2017, tortious and defamatory statements about Choi were posted on Internet review blogs and message boards. Choi also says the statements were posted by way of fabricated pseudonyms accounts, which have yet to be identified. 

As a result, Choi says his reputation was damaged, and interfered with his present and prospective business relationships. 

The plaintiff alleges Jane Doe published false and defamatory statements against him without reasonable care as to the truth or falsity of the statements.

Choi seeks trial by jury damages of at least $15,000 arising from tortious, unjustified and intentional interference with his business relationship with clients, plus interest and court costs as well as all other relief the court deems just and proper. He is represented by attorney Kirsten D. Blum of Nejame Law PA in Orlando.
