Female customer blames Clearwater gentlemen's club for beating

CLEARWATER — A Pinellas County woman is suing a Clearwater gentlemen's club, alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries and negligence.

Amari Smith filed a complaint Jan. 4 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against 24 KT, LLC alleging the gentlemen's club failed to make sure that it premises was reasonably safe.

According to the complaint, Smith was with Jakasha Lockhart, was at 24KT Gentlemen's Club on U.S. Highway 19 in Clearwater. Smith says she sustained serious physical injuries from being brutally beaten and ambushed at the club. The plaintiff alleges 24 KT failed to provide adequate security within the club in order to make sure that the plaintiff was safe.

Smith seeks trial by jury and damages that exceed $15,000. She is represented by attorney Calvin Robinson of The Robinson Law Group, PLLC in St. Petersburg.
