Customer blames Tarpon Spring bank for fall, injuries

Slip02

CLEARWATER — A customer is suing a Tarpon Springs bank, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries and negligence.

Ashley Brown filed a complaint Dec. 27 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against USAmeriBank, alleging the property owner failed to keep their premises reasonably safe for the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 25, 2014, Brown was in the parking lot of the USAmeriBank at 710 E. Tarpon Ave., Tarpon Springs. She says she sustained physical injuries when she slipped and fell due to a liquid substance that was left on the parking lot surface. The suit says Brown suffered disfigurement, pain, medical expenses and loss of future earning capacity.

The plaintiff alleges USAmeriBank failed to clean the liquid substance that was left in the parking lot or provide adequate warning to Brown.

Brown seeks trail by jury, judgment that exceeds $15,000, plus court costs, interest and all further relief the court grants. She is represented by attorney Eduardo R. Latour of Latour & Associates PA in Tarpon Springs.
