CLEARWATER — A pedestrian is suing St. Petersburg, alleging negligence in the maintenance of a city sidewalk.
Thelma Robinson filed a complaint Dec. 28 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against the city of St. Petersurg and Oldsman Land Holding Corporation, alleging failure to keep its premises in a reasonably safe condition for the protection of all members of the public.
According to the complaint, on Nov. 13, 2015, Robinson was walking along 601 Central Ave., St. Petersburg, when she tripped and fell due to a dilapidated and unsafe state of pavers on the sidewalk.
As a result, Robinson says she suffered bodily injuries and mental anguish, plus medical, nursing and hospitalization expenses.
The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to remove, repair, or remediate the known dangerous condition and failed to warn or notify the public of the dangerous condition.
Robinson seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000, together with court costs. She is represented by attorney Williams H. Winters of Winter & Yonker, PA in Tampa.
