ORLANDO — A tourist is suing Sea World, alleging negligence and failure to warn led to injuries for the plaintiff.

Aaron Bomer filed a complaint Dec. 21 in Orange County Circuit Court against Sea World of Florida LLC, alleging the water park allowed an unreasonably dangerous condition to maintain in its premises.

According to the complaint, on June 20, 2015, Bomer was at Sea World, riding down a water slide in an innertube. The suit says a dip in slide caused Bomer's leg to strike a sharp object on the edge of the slide.

As a result, Bomer says he has sustained permanent physical injuries, suffering, disability, scarring, mental pain and the expense of hospitalization.

The plaintiff alleges Sea World of Florida failed to maintain its water slide in a reasonably safe condition, failed to remove or repair the sharp object on the edge of the slide and failed to warn of its existence.

Bomer seeks trial by jury and damages in excess of $15,000 exclusive of court costs. He is represented by attorney Christopher W. Hewett of Law Office of Nooney & Roberts in Jacksonville.
