Motorist blames 2 driver for 2 collisions

Car accident 15

CLEARWATER — A Pinellas County woman is suing two different drivers, alleging their negligence caused two crashes that injured the plaintiff.

Annette Gallagher filed a complaint Sept. 28 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Cristin Long and William White, alleging they failed to exercise standard care and skill required in operating a vehicle.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 19, 2015, while Gallagher she was traveling near Interstate Highway 75 in Bradenton, Long negligently caused her vehicle to collide with the plaintiff's vehicle.

The suit says on Dec. 28, 2015, Gallagher was injured in another vehicular crash, prompted by the carelessness of White on Ulmerton Road in Clearwater. In both automobile crashes, the suit says, Gallagher suffered permanent and continuing injuries, pain, suffering, mental anguish, loss of wages, aggravation of an existing condition, and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Long and White failed to adequately maintain and operate a motor vehicle so as not to cause harm, and failed to be on a proper lookout for other vehicles.

Gallagher seeks trial by jury, damages of at least $15,000, costs, interest, prejudgment interest, and all other relief the court deems appropriate. She is represented by attorney Joshua M. Drechsel of Josh Firm PA in St. Petersburg.
