FORT LAUDERDALE — A Broward County woman is suing a motor vehicle owner and driver, alleging their negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.
Gloria Jones filed a complaint Oct. 6 in Broward County Circuit Court against Kim Marie Colwell and Timothy R. Colwell, alleging Timothy Colwell negligently consented to allow a careless driver to operate his vehicle.
According to the complaint, on Dec. 4, 2015, near the intersection of West Broward Boulevard and South Pine Boulevard in Plantation, a vehicle crash caused by Kim Colwell caused Jones to sustain bodily injuries. The suit says this resulted in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of capacity for enjoyment of life and incurred medical and treatment expenses.
The plaintiff alleges Kim Colwell operated the vehicle in a negligent manner and caused it to collide into Jones' vehicle.
Jones seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, court costs and pre-judgment interest.. She is represented by attorney Nathan J. Hoy of Goldman & Daszkal, PA in Deerfield Beach.
