Fort Lauderdale couple accuses contractor of contract breach

FORT LAUDERDALE — A Fort Lauderdale couple is suing a contractor, alleging breach of contract.

Alan Schlesinger and Eileen Schlesinger filed a complaint Oct. 6 in Broward County Circuit Court against Boggio Construction Inc., alleging the contractor obtained profit through unfair or deceptive trade or commerce.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges in April 2015, the Schlesingers suffered monetary losses as a result of hiring the defendant as general contractor. The suit says Boggio Construction was subsequently substandard in its installation work of floor tiles and abandoned other contracted work prior to completion at 4250 Galt Ocean Drive, Unit 12U, Fort Lauderdale.

The plaintiffs allege Boggio failed to complete all contracted work, improperly installed a floor tile project, caused the plaintiffs to spend for repair and completion of the project, and received and benefited from the payment of the plaintiffs.

The Schlesingers seek trial by jury, judgment for damages of at least $15,000 and all relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorney Geoffrey D. Ittleman of The Law Offices of Geoffrey D. Ittleman PA in Fort Lauderdale.
