ORLANDO — A Duval County woman is suing Walgreens, alleging negligence led to her suffering injuries in a fall.
Donna Montgomery filed a complaint on Sept. 28, in the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court in Florida Orange County against Walgreens, Co. alleging the pharmacy operator failed to maintain its premises in a safe condition.
According to the complaint, on July 10, 2014, while shopping at a a Walgreens on International Drive in Orlando, she slipped and fell on the floor due to a foreign object that existed in the defendant's premises.
As a result, Montgomery said she experienced permanent physical injury resulting pain and suffering, scarring, disfigurement, mental pain and suffering, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life and loss of ability to earn money. The plaintiff alleges Walgreens,failed to warn the general public of the dangerous condition that existed on the premises.
Montgomery seeks trial by jury and damages. She is represented by attorney Christopher W. Hewett of The Law Firm of Nooney & Roberts in Jacksonville.
