Orange County landlord alleges subtenants owe nearly $37,000 in unpaid rent

ORLANDO — An Orange County landlord is suing subtenants, alleging breach of a lease agreement and an unpaid debt of nearly $37,000.

Lee Road Partners LP filed a complaint Sept. 13 in Orange Circuit Court against Lin Yu Xiang and Jiang Wei, alleging that they breached its duty of good faith and fair dealing.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 14, Lee Road Partners provided the defendants/subtenants with a notice of termination and retaking of possession by Aug. 31 for failure to pay the rent for non-residential real estate property at 914 Lee Road, Winter Park. The suit says the the defendants remain in possession of the leased premises and and are causing irreparable damages to the plaintiff. 

The plaintiff alleges Lin Yu Xiang and Jiang Wei have failed to timely pay their past due rent of $36,964.73 and have refused to give up possession of the property despite repeated demands from the plaintiff.

Lee Road Partners seeks trial by jury, payment of $36,964.73, plus attorney fees, interest, costs and all other relief the court deems just. It is represented by attorney Todd F. Kobrin of Shutts & Bowen LLP in Orlando.
