Wal-Mart, motorist blamed for woman's injuries

Car accident 29

CLEARWATER — A Florida woman is suing Wal-Mart and a motorist, alleging negligence led to injuries to the plaintiff on two separate occasions.

Carolette Poole filed a complaint Sept. 14 in the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Florida Pinellas County against Ean Holdings LLC, Neil Cameron and Wal-Mart Stores East LP, alleging they failed to follow applicable safety guidelines and regulations.

According to the complaint, Poole suffered serious and permanent injuries, and great physical pain and suffering on two separate occasions caused by different situations and individuals. On Aug.11, 2015, the suit says, Cameron negligently operated a vehicle owned by co-defendant Ean Holdings so that it collided with a vehicle occupied by Poole. And on July 24, 2015, the plaintiff was on the premises of a Wal-Mart when she slipped and fell due to a liquid substance on the floor of its premises.

The plaintiff alleges Ean Holdings and Cameron failed to operate the vehicle in a careful manner, and that Wal-Mart Stores East LP failed to warn Poole of the dangerous condition, and failed to correct the dangerous condition.

Poole seeks trial by jury, judgment against for damages in excess of $15,000 plus costs and all relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorney Matthew Carney of Carey Leisure & Neal in Clearwater.
