McDonald's Corporation allegedly failed to prevent woman from falling

CLEARWATER — An individual is suing McDonald's Corporation for alleged negligence.

Sherry Webster filed a complaint on Aug. 17 in the Pinellas County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant failed to provide a safe environment to its patrons.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she was on the defendant's premises on July 24, 2015 when she allegedly slipped and fell on a puddle of water that allegedly was left on the floor, which allegedly caused her to suffer bodily injury, pain, suffering and the aggravation of a pre-existing condition. 

The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to properly warn its guests of the dangerous condition, properly dry the floor after mopping and for allegedly failing to implement a safely maintain the premises.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages against the defendant in excess of $15,000, interest and costs. She is represented by Justin W. Pimenta of Abrahamson & Uiterwyk in Tampa.
