FORT LAUDERDALE — An individual is suing Self-Storage Management LLC for alleged negligence.
Judith Lawrence filed a complaint on Aug. 3 in the Broward County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant failed to maintain its premises in a safe condition.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was on the defendant's premises on Nov. 26, 2015 when a branch from a tree allegedly broke and fell onto her upper back and neck area, allegedly causing her to sustain severe injuries, suffer emotional and physical pain, lost wages and incur medical expenses.
The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to maintain and repair fixtures on its premises, follow standard operating procedures and train staff to identify potentially hazardous conditions.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for damages in excess of $15,000, as well as costs, interest and compensatory and punitive damages. She is represented by Paul A. Galsterer and Miguel A. Coder of The Injury Firm PA in Fort Lauderdale.
