Insurance 11

ORLANDO — Two individuals are suing Southern Fidelity Property & Casualty Insurance Company for alleged breach of contract.

Debra Gonzalez and Isaac Velasquez filed a complaint on Aug. 15 in the Orange County Circuit Court, alleging that the insurance carrier breached its duty of good faith and fair dealing.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they have suffered and continue to suffer damages caused by the defendant allegedly breaching its insurance policy by allegedly refusing to pay for the losses incurred to their property.

The plaintiffs hold the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to offer an appropriate amount of money to repair their property, and for allegedly failing to properly indemnify them for their losses.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendant for damages, interest, court costs and attorneys’ fees. They are represented by Louis A. Gonzalez and Zaf Glenn Goss of Trujillo Vargas Gonzalez & Hevia LLP in Orlando.
