ORLANDO — An individual is suing Ivey on the Lake Apartments LLC and Harbor Group Management Co. LLC for alleged negligence.
Jennifer Coleman filed a complaint on Aug. 8 in the Orange County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendants failed to keep their premises safe for patrons.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she suffered bodily injury on March 24, 2015 as a result of an alleged violent criminal attack while on the defendants' premises, allegedly resulting in pain, suffering, disability, disfigurement, the aggravation of a pre-existing condition, mental anguish, medical costs and the loss of earnings.
The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to provide adequate and reasonable physical security, hire and retain appropriately trained employees and security guards and for allegedly failing to properly evaluate criminal activity on its premises.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants for damages, costs and any further relief the court deems proper. She is represented by Tyrone A. King of King & Markman PA in Orlando.
