ORLANDO — An individual is suing Ford Motor Company for alleged breach of warranty.
Linda Faye McKey filed a complaint on Aug. 7 in the Orange County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant obtained profit through the distribution of a substandard product.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she suffered economic losses on Jan. 6, 2014 from allegedly purchased a defective Ford Focus from the defendant that allegedly was subjected to numerous repair attempts for the same defect. The plaintiff claims that the defect remains unfixed.
The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to comply with its written warranty of safety and reliability, failing to timely and adequately repair the defects on the vehicle and for allegedly impairing the use, value and safety of the vehicle.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for all incidental and consequential damages, attorney's fees, witness fees, court costs and any further relief the court deems just. She is represented by Brent Wikgren of Krohn & Moss Ltd. in Chicago.
