ORLANDO — Two individuals are suing Florida Specialty Insurance Company for alleged breach of contract.
Kenneth and Martha Trowbridge filed a complaint on Aug. 1 in the Orange County Circuit Court, alleging that the insurance carrier breached its duty of good faith and fair dealing.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that their property sustained a covered loss on Jan. 22 as a result of a wind storm. Although, the defendant allegedly issued payment for the covered loss, the payments allegedly are inadequate to perform the necessary repairs.
The plaintiffs hold the defendant responsible for allegedly refusing and/or failing to timely and promptly pay plaintiff the correct amount of insurance policy benefits for the claim.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendant for damages, interest, court costs, attorney’s fees and other relief the court deems just. They are represented by David Low of David Low & Associates PA in Fort Lauderdale.
