Sy's Coin Laundry III LLC accused of negligence

Slip01

ORLANDO — A woman is suing Sy's Coin Laundry III LLC for alleged negligence.

Maria Nieves Flores filed a complaint on July 24 in the Orange County Circuit Court, alleging that the property owner failed to provide a safe environment for its patrons.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was legally upon defendant's premises on Dec. 3, 2015 when she slipped and fell on a substance that was allegedly on the floor of defendant's property. As a result of defendant's alleged negligence, the plaintiff claims that she suffered bodily injury, resulting in pain and suffering, the aggravation of a pre-existing condition, disfigurement, disability, mental anguish and medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to warn her of the concealed peril in the area, and for allegedly failing to train its employees to properly maintain and inspect the floors.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for damages that exceeds $15,000, plus costs, attorney fees and any further relief the court deems proper. She is represented by Jeremy Hill of the Pendas Law Firm in Orlando.
