Slip02

FORT LAUDERDALE — An individual is suing Kindred Healthcare Inc. for alleged negligence.

Leonor Lagarde Borroto filed a complaint on Aug. 1 in the Broward County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant failed to provide a safe environment for its patrons

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was lawfully on defendant's property on Feb. 23, 2016 when she slipped and fell on a slippery substance on the floor of the parking lot area. The plaintiff claims that she suffered injuries, physical handicap, lost wages, the aggravation of a pre-existing condition and the inability to lead a normal life.

The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to warn her of the slippery, uneven and poorly lighted premises and for allegedly allowing the dangerous condition to remain on the floor for a substantial amount of time.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for damages in excess of $15,000. She is represented by William C. Ruggiero of Law Offices of William C. Ruggiero in Fort Lauderdale.
