ORLANDO — A restaurant customer is suing Universal City Restaurant Venture LLC d/b/a the Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar for alleged negligence and liability.
Ivette M. Burgos filed a complaint on July 21 in the Orange County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant failed to provide a safe environment for its patrons.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was dining at the defendant's restaurant on Dec. 17, 2016. As she stood up to leave, she allegedly slipped and fell on a liquid substance that was left on the ground, allegedly suffering bodily injury, pain and suffering, the aggravation of a pre-existing condition, disfigurement, disability, mental anguish and medical expenses.
The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to warn her of the improperly maintained premises, and for allegedly failing to properly train its employees to properly maintain and inspect the premises.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for damages and further relief as the court may deem just and proper. She is represented by R. Jeremy Hill of the Pendas Law Firm in Orlando.
