ORLANDO — Two individuals are suing KB Home Orlando LLC for alleged negligence and liability.

Patricia and Debra Heflin filed a complaint on July 19 in the Orange County Circuit Court, alleging that the the defendant failed to exercise standard care in the construction of their home.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they have been damaged from the defects and violations allegedly caused by the defendant in the construction of their home, which now allegedly requires significant repairs and renovations to correct the defendant's negligence.

The plaintiffs hold the defendant responsible for allegedly contracting the construction of plaintiff's home to subcontractors that were allegedly incompetent, which allegedly resulted in substandard work, a failure to comply with all applicable building codes and regulations and allegedly reduced the value of the home.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendant for damages, interest, costs and other relief the court deems just. They are represented by Wil H. Florin, Neil P. O'Brien and Luca G. Esposito of Florin Roebig PA in Palm Harbor.
