United Property & Casualty Insurance Company allegedly breached insurance contract

ORLANDO — An individual is suing United Property & Casualty Insurance Company for alleged breach of contract.

Russell Hall filed a complaint on July 13 in the Orange County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant breached its duty of good faith and fair dealing.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that his sustained covered damages on Oct. 7, 2016 due to a hurricane. Although the defendant paid $3,127.72, the payment allegedly is insufficient to cover the damages. 

The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly breaching its insurance contract by failing to provide the necessary reimbursement for a covered loss, and for failing to timely evaluate and pay the full benefits it allegedly owed.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for all damages to the plaintiff's property plus interest on overdue payments, attorney’s fees, court costs and any other relief deemed just. He is represented by Rafael F. Garcia of MSPG Law Group of Central Florida PLLC in Orlando.
