FORT LAUDERDALE — A company is suing Puente Construction Enterprises Inc. for alleged breach of contract and unjust enrichment.
Allied Steel Buildings Inc. filed a complaint on July 24 in the Broward County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant breached its duty of good faith and fair dealing.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it sustained $79,207.81 in compensatory damages for allegedly providing various goods and services to the defendant's building project, which the defendant allegedly has refused to reasonably pay for.
The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly receiving and retaining the benefit of goods and services from the plaintiff without providing the agreed upon payment.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for damages in the amount of $79,207.81 together with costs and disbursements, attorney's fees, pre-judgment interest and any further relief the court deems proper.
