FORT LAUDERDALE — An employee is suing Physician Specialty Group Inc. d/b/a Vision Specialty Care Inc. for alleged breach of contract and unpaid wages.
Anieka D. Williams OD filed a complaint on July 24 in the Broward County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant breached its duty of good faith and fair dealing.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she suffered loss of profit from the defendant's alleged failure to compensate her for the periods of Aug. 19 to Aug. 26, 2016 and Aug. 29, 2016 to Feb. 28, 2017 despite allegedly having performed all of her duties in an exemplary manner during her employment.
The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly breaching its employment agreement by failing to pay her wages, salary and/or job benefits.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for contractual damages, interest, costs, fees on unpaid wages and any further relief the court deems just. She is represented by Gina Marie Cadogan of Cadogan Law in Plantation.
