Artegon Marketplace accused of negligence

Slip02

ORLANDO — An individual is suing FB Orlando Acquisition Company LLC d/b/a Artegon Marketplace for alleged negligence.

Katherine Torres filed a complaint on June 28 in the Orange County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant failed to provide a safe environment for its patrons.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she visited the defendant’s premises and was walking in the marketplace on Dec. 12, 2014 when she slipped and fell on the sidewalk, sustaining injuries that resulted in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, loss of earning and aggravation of a pre-existing condition.

The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible allegedly failing to adequately inspect and maintain the sidewalk, adequately warn her of the danger of the sidewalk and ensure that its employee maintained the premises in safe conditions.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages in excess of $15,000 plus interest and costs. She is represented by Ed Arango of Morgan & Morgan PA in Kissimmee.
