ORLANDO — A woman is suing Orlando Vineland PO LP, Bacon Construction Company and Metro Door Inc. for alleged negligence.
Yalda Yousefi filed a complaint on June 26 in the Orange Circuit Court, alleging that the defendants failed to provide a safe environment for its business invitees.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that while she was lawfully on defendants' premises on Nov. 15, 2015, the rolling security gate allegedly fell from the ceiling, striking her head and neck. As a result of defendants' alleged negligence, she suffered bodily injury, resulting in pain and suffering, disability, scarring, mental anguish, loss of the capacity for the enjoyment of life and the aggravation of pre-existing conditions.
The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to adequately maintain and inspect its entry way and doorway, and for allegedly failing to adequately warn her of the danger of the mechanical door.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages against the defendants, including costs, interest, attorneys’ fees and other relief deemed proper by the court. She is represented by Scott J. Liotta of Dan Newlin & Partners in Orlando.
