FORT LAUDERDALE — A Florida resident is suing Igor and Company Inc., Premium Car Sales and Igor Gusev for alleged civil theft and fraud.
Katherine Lantigua filed a complaint on June 17 in the Broward County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendants breached their duty of good faith and fair dealing.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she bought a Toyota Corolla from the defendants on March 16 and signed a contract for a total of $10,500 at a 17 percent interest on a two-year loan. However, upon receiving her copy of the contract, it allegedly contained provisions that were not previously agreed upon, including 24 percent interest and four-year loan period at a total of $17,300.
The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly depriving her of her right to her property and for intentionally altering a signed contract to solicit more money from her.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants for damages, costs, fees, expenses and other relief the court deems just. She is represented by Christian Dunham of Law Offices of Christian Dunham in Miami.
