CLEARWATER — A company is suing Sandalwood Condominium Motel Associations Inc., a beach resort operator, citing alleged fraud and inducement.
Brock Thomas Investments Inc. filed a complaint on June 29 in the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Florida - Pinellas County, alleging that the defendant induced it to repair a property that is not usable.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it has suffered damaged and continues to be damaged for investing a substantial amount of time and money in renovating a property. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly misrepresenting that the building was safe to use, and for allegedly cancelling the lease because the property was being closed due to lack of repair.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for damages, costs and all other relief that is just and proper. It is represented by Joseph P. Kenny of Webber, Crabb & Wein PA in St. Petersburg.
