FORT LAUDERDALE — A tennis player is suing Cleveland Clinic Florida Hospital and doctor Gregory Baran for alleged negligence and liability.
Antoine De Massy filed a complaint on June 12 in the Broward Circuit Court, alleging that the defendants failed to exercise the standard of care and skill required of medical providers and facilities.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he has suffered bodily injury, pain and suffering, mental anguish, disability and loss of earnings on March 23, 2015 as a result of the defendants' alleged failure to diagnose a dislocation and fracture on the plaintiff's wrist and provide adequate treatment.
The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly inhibiting the progress of the plaintiff's professional tennis career and failing to properly examine, diagnose, care for and treat him.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in favor of the plaintiff for compensatory damages, interest and costs. He is represented by Matthew P. Leto and Andrew C. Hall of Hall, Lamb Hall and Leto PA in Miami.
