ORLANDO — A Florida woman is suing Pacifica Oasis Orlando LLC d/b/a Oasis Club Apartments for alleged negligence.
Delia Dejesus Hernandez filed a complaint on June 22 in the Orange County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant failed to provide a safe environment for its patrons.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was on the defendant's property to pick up her granddaughter on Dec. 30, 2015 when she sustained injuries and damages from falling of the stairway due to a loose handrail. As a result, plaintiff allegedly suffered bodily injuries, pain and suffering, mental anguish and an aggravation of a pre-existing condition.
The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible allegedly failing to maintain the floor space around the stairwell, fail to warn patrons of the dangerous condition and fix a loose handrail.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages in excess of $15,000 and other relief deemed proper by the court. She is represented by Alina M. Morros of Fiol Law Group PA in Tampa.
